Good South Wind by tesla321 - This is the single most amazing Firefly series I've ever read. The interaction between Mal and River is dead-on; every image is perfect, from the socks to the bar fights. Even the prose itself is a joy. Currently a WIP, although each chapter stands on its own well enough. The other parts are listed in tesla321's memories.

KiBlind by Sholio - One of, if not the, best DBZ fics around. Characterization is dead on, the plot is believable, and it's easy to see this as just an extension and expansion of the series. [Canon]

Dragonball Theta by Torankusu-kaiou - An episodic fanfiction series taking place after Dragonball GT. Bulma and Chichi wish they were Saiyajin - and when their wish is granted, it's only the beginning of the Z-fighers' problems. A true descendant in the style of Akira Toriyama.

Daughter of the Man Who Saved the World by rallamajoop - This one-shot manages to completely and perfectly characterize Videl. That it actually made me have a soft spot for Mr. Satan is a bonus. [Gohan x Videl]

The Story of You and Me by djFusion - I love this sort of story, because it feels like the author is writing a story they truly want to tell. An oddball in the DBZ fandom that focuses on the relationship between Trunks and Goten. [Trunks x Goten, Gotenks x Marron, Goten x Marron]

Suspicions by Kinomi - Kuririn knows his daughter is keeping a secret. [Yamcha x Marron]

Citadel by Something Washed Ashore - Everything - and I mean everything - I've read by Something Washed Ashore is dead-on in characterization. It's her Goku that really keeps drawing me in, though. [Vegeta x Yamcha]

Dragonball Z - Goku x Chichi

Control by Engar - In all my life, I've only ever printed out one fanfic. It was this one. Possibly my favorite Goku fic, ever, period.

The Shadow by Kinoha - Goten and Trunks accidentally wish themselves into hell, where they meet a mysterious stranger. The writing sometimes transcends the confused syntax, the plot is different, and I love it despite any shortcomings.

Destined Virtues by Star Otaku and Tokumei Kibon - I discovered this fic years ago, lost the link, and spent ages trying to find it again. The basic concept is "what if Goku and Chichi were the androids?" The writing isn't nearly as spectacular as I remember it, and the fic remains unfinished, but the sheer creativity of the plot makes it worth a rec. It's hosted on The Goku x Chichi Page, a sweet little website that hasn't been updated for years.

Dragonball Z - Goku x Vegeta

Enigma - Although there's plenty of non-DBZ stuff on this site, the Goku x Vegeta doujinshi is absolutely gorgeous. Take a look through the fanfiction, too. NC-17 content.

Shadows of the Past by Alithiel - Perhaps THE definitive Goku x Vegeta fic. Sadly, the author was killed before she was able to finish this epic, but it's still worth reading. NC-17 content.

The Great Saiyaman Trilogy by Goblin Cat KC - Funny and dramatic and believable while still being entirely ludicrous. One of my favorites. [Goku x Vegeta, Gohan x Piccolo, Trunks x Goten]

If Skies Should Fall by Something Washed Ashore - This is just...wow. I stumbled across this story in a DBZ C2 community on FF.net, and clicked the title in spite of my misgivings. Both Goku and Videl come across as so very human. [Goku x Videl]
